Anthony Jones: An Overview

We know of Anthony Jones from the following:
1. A note in the document by Dr Van Zwanenberg, the Suffolk Medical Biographer (Suffolk Record Office qS614).
2. A note on a document from the College of Arms giving Henry Helsham Helsham-Jones the right to bear Arms.

Anthony was elected a member of the Suff. Ben. Med. Soc. 1832.  He may have orginally come from Kington in Hereford.

His elder brother Harry Jones lived in Pakenham, Suffolk, and had a son Charles Jones of Burton Mere, Vicar of Pakenham, Master of Arts of the University of Cambridge (see bookplate of Rev Charles W Jones).

Charles in turn had an eldest son Harry Jones of Burton Mere, Clerk, Master of Arts of the University of Cambridge.  Charles was Prebendary of the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, Chaplin in ordinary to Queen Victoria and was of Saint Philip, Regent Street in the county of Middlesex.  Harry Jones wrote a book "East and West London" which was published by Smith, Elder & Co., 1875.
