Landscape painting by Dutch master Jan Van Goyen or Pieter Molijin oil on wood gilt frame two figures sitting two cows.

This landscape painting had been in our family, possibly for more than two hundred years, up until 2000 when it was stolen.  It was believed to have belonged to James Caldwell of Linley Wood.  The painting itself is oil on wood and is believed to have been painted by the Dutch master painter Jan Van Goyen (1596-1656) or possibly Pieter Molijn .  It measures approximately 65cm wide, gilt frame, two figures sitting, two cows.  Should anyone know the whereabouts of this painting, I would be very keen for it to be returned to its owners and I would be prepared to pay significantly above its market value and a reward if necessary.  Please contact me on jj@jjhc.info
