Anne Marsh Caldwell wrote diaries extensively throughout her life. These still exist but are not yet published. See notes. |
There is some debate as to who wrote The Nevilles of Garretstown. The most likely appears to have been the Rev. Mortimer OSullivan (c.1793-1859) but another possible author could have been Dr Charles James Lever (1807-1872). Certainly Anne wrote the preface to the 1860 edition. I do not know how Anne came to be involved in this publication. If anyone on the internet can add more information I would be very pleased to hear from you.
A copy of Lettice Arnold can be found on the internet, as published in Harper's Magazine and another journal, Living Age, through http://cdl.library.cornell.edu/moa/moa_browse.html
If you have any information to add to what is listed please contact me on jj@jjhc.info
